The Unofficial Puerto Rico Beer Fest Awards

Someone had to do it: these are the Puerto Rico Beer Fest awards. Lots of heat and zero regrets.

MVP: Homebrewers de PR. They brought a lab instead of a booth. A bunch of curious experiments that, surprisingly, nailed it.

Surprise of the Night: Cervecería del Callejón and Snake Island Brewing. They weren't on my route, but I stopped by and left wanting to visit their taprooms.

Old Reliable: Miramar and Dragon Stone. At a fest or wherever you find them, if you see them, order without thinking.

The DMV Line: Tribu. You had to wait, but the line was worth it.

Best Crew: Montuna. You went for a beer and stayed talking with the crew. Good people for real.

Honorable mention, The Good Cold Brew: Ocean Lab x Café Don Ruiz. Beer with Puerto Rican coffee. Officially approved for breakfast.

Honorable mention, Puerto Rico in a Cup: Ocean Lab x Ron del Barrilito. Rum and beer in one cup. Tastes like a family party.
